Welcome to the 61st Contact Meeting of the Norwegian Bioscience Society (formerly known as the Norwegian Biochemistry Society)!
The NBS Contact Meeting is a great opportunity for researchers and students to present their work to a national audience. This year’s meeting is organized by the NBS Bergen branch, and we hope to gather a strong contingent from Bergen!
The meeting will take place 21 – 24 January 2026, at Storefjell Resort Hotel in Gol.
We have put together an exciting scientific program featuring plenary lectures (see below), minisymposia, poster sessions, and additional thematic sessions currently in planning (stay tuned!). There will also be an opening in the program to enjoy some cross-country or downhill skiing in the free time, and on the final evening, we will conclude the conference with the traditional banquet.
The confirmed plenary lectures are:
- Thomas Helleday – Karolinska Institute, Sweden – Cancer and Biochemistry
- Joseph A. Baur – University of Pennsylvania, USA – Biochemistry, Physiology and Aging
- Paul Guichard – Universite de Geneve, Switzerland – Cell Biology
