We had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Ana Vacaru from the Institute of Cellular Biology and Pathology “Nicolae Simionescu”, Bucharest, Romania for a research stay to the Center for Diabetes Research from 15th to 22nd of May 2022. Ana is Project Coordinator on our collaborative grant funded by Norway Grants (EØS) aiming at developing strategies to help the β-cells’ secretory performance i.e. improving their capacity to cope with the increased load in the ER. It was great to finally meet and talk in person, to go over experimental plans and tools to be used in this project.
